   17 April 2006 the international conference "Heritage at Risk - Saving the architecture of XX century and World Heritage", adopted a resolution requesting the Ministry of Culture and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation and the Committee on Cultural Heritage in Moscow to acknowledge that outstanding legacy of Konstantin Melnikov was in danger, to develop maintaining homes Melnikov and his collection in the framework of existing international standards for the restoration work and to ensure that the Melnikov House and its collections to the list of monuments of federal significance. In the same year the house-studio KS Melnikov was included in the "World monuments watch list of 100 most endangered sites" - List of monuments of world culture, are threatened with extinction.
